Dragon Door Inn Steamboat is the first authentic steamboat restaurant using charcoal since 2010. It's located near Cheras Leisure Mall and easily spotted by its unique exterior design. The traditional China building design has a lot of red lanterns hanging outside.
You need to walk through the staircase to go upstairs. The wall was full of photos with various local and overseas celebrities. The shop is quite spacious with wooden decorations, bamboo, plants and lanterns. Since the shop is quite packed and workers are busy, we have to repeat when they miss out our orders. But, overall, their workers are friendly.
They have four types of soups for you to choose - we chose pork bone soup and spicy mala soup. What is interesting here is that they use charcoal instead of gas to cook. Both soups were rich and flavourful.

After we ordered, we went to choose our preferred sauces. You can follow their special recipe when you mix your sauces - I find it quite tasty.
