Piu Kee.Shoten @ REXKL

After seeing an advertisement from Facebook, I get to know that there is one small gyoza stall located at REXKL. The gyozas were looking nice and I can’t wait to have a try.

REXKL is a community-based cultural and creative hub located in the city centre. The building is hidden behind some hawker stalls and plants. You probably won’t notice it when you pass by.

It’s a grey building opposite Macy’s store. The main entrance is right behind some tall plants. There are many different stores inside, like food stalls, bar, antique shop, bookshop and many more. Check out their FB/ IG: @hellorexkl for more info.

When you enter and walk down the stairs, you will see Piu Kee on your left-hand side.

It's a small stall with a Japanese style wooden design. The ambience there is very cosy, nice place for gathering with friends and family. There are two types of gyoza for you to choose from. One is Sui-gyoza (gyoza with soup), another one is Yaki-gyoza (fried gyoza). Ingredients are chicken/ pork, chives and cabbage. Besides, they also sell alcohol. We ordered a 10 pieces pork Yaki-gyoza (RM20)

With thin skin and juicy fillings, the gyoza tastes very delicious. The wines and sesame oil make the gyoza tastes better too. You can also eat together with the sauce. Definitely worth a try.

Food: 4/5

Price: approx. RM20 for two pax

Service: 4/5

Address: 80, Jalan Sultan, City Centre, Kuala Lumpur.

Opening hours: 10 am - 10 pm (closed on Monday)
